Dorothy Guarnaccia – Hard work is the key to success

Dorothy Guarnaccia belonged to a poor family. Her parents were laborers in a mill. She had two younger sisters. She was quite mature and always helped her siblings. Her parents send her to school and she was very interested in her studies.

As time passed on due to compassionate-friend poverty they could not afford to send Dorothy to school. Dorothy Guarnaccia completed her basic education. She learned how to read and write. She always dreamt of becoming a doctor but due to poverty all her dreams were shattered.

Dorothy Guarnaccia joined her parents in their work at the mill. But the small salary was not even sufficient to feed their family so she ultimately had to leave that job. Dorothy Guarnaccia was well built in her physique so when she was offered the tedious job of a tool and die maker she accepted it for the sake of the good salary that they were ready to provide.

The job was very tough especially for a girl as it demanded to mould the various metals, carrying heavy metals etc. but she never complained of the job. The workers considered her like their own daughter.

Dorothy Guarnaccia was very compassionate with everyone in the company. She was one of the hardest working workers of the company. She was soon rewarded with an increment in the salary with which she paid the fees of her siblings.

Dorothy Guarnaccia was a true example of hard working person who proved that no work is impossible but you should have a firm will to do that. Dorothy Guarnaccia was a true friend to all her co-workers. She is proud of her work which makes her stand out of other workers of her factory.
